Surf's Up!

There has been a warm response from our friends on the Central Coast in support of Cory’s upcoming benefit shows. People from the media who remember the band are eager to promote the event and, through recent posts on Facebook, others have responded, saying that they remember Ernie and the Emperors and Giant Crab from our performances...

Winning Super Bowl Team

Left to right: Joe (dad and manager) Brian (bass, drums, sax), Cory (guitar) Ernie (guitar),
Alex Nova (keyboards) and Randy Busby (drums, bass).
This is a very rare photo that recently surfaced from a friend who had it for many years. It's the only photo in existence of the band members who won the 1963 Battle of the Bands at Earl Warren Showgrounds, Santa Barbara, and at The Roller Gardens in Oxnard. We call it our "Winning Super Bowl Team."  It was a memorable and exciting year for us all.

A Note From the Boys

Dear Friends & Family,

Cory is supposed to eat organic food, which is not only expensive, but also perishable. We have lost our major source of income recently—our many gigs. Many people have asked what they can do to help; we are very grateful and are giving you this list.

THINGS NEEDED:
Prayers
Gift cards for grocery stores such as Trader Joe’s, Ralphs, Vons, Lassens, and Whole Foods
Financial donations (please visit Cory’s FundRazr page)
Send gift cards, get well cards, to...

Cory
P.O. Box 6653
Santa Barbara, CA 93160

ALONG WITH THE LIST ARE SOME THINGS WE WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU DIDN’T DO:
  • Please don’t stop by to see him without calling first. He is having treatments and he needs to rest and heal. It stresses and tires him out to have unexpected visitors.
  • Please don’t call too often. Please know that while we appreciate your concern, Ernie and Brian are his primary caregivers and cannot be expected to always answer the phone or call you right back. You will be informed if there are major changes.
Again, thank you so much for your support during this trying time.
Love from Cory, Ernie and Brian
